Katrina has spent the majority of her professional life in beauty. She worked as a counter manager and make-up artist for Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, and Ultima II before beginning her studies in Aesthetics. She graduated from the Ohio State School of Cosmetology in 2000 and opened her first spa soon after.

Her spa, “The Facial Room”, was wildly popular but after a few years she decided it was time to offer more services to fulfill her mission of “making a beautiful difference in the lives of her clients” so The SKIN Spa of Powell was born.

Katrina is truly a renaissance woman and has built The SKIN Spa of Powell by the sweat of her own well-shaped brow. She is particularly aware of how aesthetic needs change over a lifetime, and enjoys working with teen clients as well as those with mature and aging skin. Her one of a kind personality will put you immediately at ease. She believes a woman of any age can do anything and should look great doing it.
 

Macie Maynard

Nail Designer

Macie is the newest member to The SKIN Spa. She graduated from The Ohio State School of Cosmetology for Manicuring and loves making nails beautiful. With her outgoing personality and creative skills she's a great Nail Designer and a wonderful addition to Spa.

Jayne Bennett

Body Worker

Jayne Bennett is a British trained therapist with over 25 years experience.

She graduated from Farnborough College of Technology, and Reading College of Technology, in the United Kingdom, and that is where her journey began. She worked in private practice in England and taught workshops within the UK and Europe (Italy & Portugal). Since her move to the United States, she has continued her practice and education.

Recently, with her husband and two young boys in tow, Jayne made the move to Powell from Michigan.  She is very much looking forward to this transition, and believes her many years of experience in such ancient holistic practices can make a great difference in your overall well-being.

Jayne specializes in Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Massage Therapy, Skincare, Ear Candling, and Aromatherapy.

Amanda Willms

Master Stylist

Amanda graduated from OSCC in 2000. She has been with the same salon since 1997, until we stole her away. Amanda likes hair!

Lisa Witherow

Neurofeedback Technologist

Lisa is dedicated to helping people live the healthiest, most fulfilling lives possible, providing brain harmonizing using the leading system for brain wave optimization (Brain State Technologies™). She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Otterbein College and a Master of Science in Human Services Management from Franklin University – the perfect foundation for her recent certification in advanced neurofeedback.

Lisa has worked with people of all ages, addressing many challenges including: ADD, ADHD, effects of a head injury, recovery from stroke, depression, post partum effects, anxiety, anger issues, memory loss, OCD, addiction (nicotine, alcohol, and behavioral), and diminishing cognitive performance. Lisa continues to research and study neuroscience as well as the advances in technology and application of Brain State Technologies™. She recently completed Masters Training with Brain State Technologies™ and holds certification through the Natural Therapies Certification Board and the Biofeedback Association of North America.

Lisa has found the relaxing atmosphere of The Skin Spa of Powell to be the perfect environment for her clients to experience the many benefits of brain training. She’s an easy person to talk with and keeps all information in confidence, so your inquiries, assessment, and sessions are confidential and comfortable.

James D. McMahan M.D., F.A.C.S.

Plastic Surgeon

Dr. James D. McMahan graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oregon received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. He served his General Surgery Internship at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, his General Surgery Residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, and his Plastic Surgery Residency at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. McMahan has been in private practice in Columbus since 1990, He is a clinical instructor at the Ohio State University and is an active remember of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, September 1989; the American Board of Plastic Surgery, November 1992, and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
